During an interview with The Jakarta Post, Mr Fazwar Bujang president director of Krakatau Steel said that due to problems associated with high costs, it is still unable to fully capitalize upon the country's growing steel market. KS has modified its power generation facilities to enable use of natural gas to reduce energy costs, but the program could not be fully implemented due to the lack of gas supply.
